Questions to Qualify Your Application

1. HOW HIGH?

What is the total vertical rise? What is the distance from floor to floor? What is the clearance above the upper level?

2. HOW OFTEN?

How many times per hour will the VRC carry the load? Will it have automatic infeed and discharge or manual?

3. HOW HEAVY?

How much will the total load weigh?

4. HOW BIG?

What are the dimensions of the load to be lifted? Does the load overhang the pallet? Are load stops required? Will there be two loads put on the carriage at one time?

5. HOW NOW?

How is the customer presently moving the load? Does he have an existing VRC? Does he use a lift truck? Is there a potential safety hazard?

6. HOW LONG?

How long has the customer had this problem? Is he likely to make a change if you propose a solution?

7. HOW MUCH?

How much is the customer willing to spend to solve the problem? What is the budget?

8. LOADING PATTERN?

C, Z or 90º.

9. GATES & ENCLOSURES?

Is the lift in a shaftway? Three sides and a gate? On the edge of a mezzanine?

10. FLOOR OPENING?

If the lift is going through a floor, what are the dimensions of the opening?
