Pflow Industries, Inc. has appointed Chuck Cobb as its new National Sales Manager, a position with the responsibility to manage the regional sales staff and sales of Pflow's core vertical material lift systems to all existing and emerging industrial and commercial customers. Cobb, who joined Pflow in 2004 as the Southeast Regional Manager, has over 20 years in the industry and is known throughout the country as an expert in materials conveyance.
"Chuck's extensive experience serving the VRC industry as well as his extraordinary work ethic will be a valuable asset to both our sales staff and our national dealer network," said Pflow President Ted Ruehl. "Chuck has provided superior customer service throughout his career and we are pleased to have him bringing his knowledge and skills to our entire national sales program."
In addition to adding Cobb, Pflow has added two new regional sales managers and expanded the territory alignment to four distinct regions, providing Pflow dealers and customers with enhanced regional service.

Joining Pflow as the new Northeast Regional Manager is Fred Volkman with responsibilities from Maine to Washington, DC, and New York and Pennsylvania. Volkman has over 20 years of experience in the vertical lifting market from the perspective of the distributor, the manufacturer's agent and regional sales.
Ray Fuller has been hired to replace Cobb as the Southeast Regional Manager covering states from Texas to Florida and the Virginias. Fuller brings over 18 years of experience in distributor support as a regional manager in the mezzanine industry.
"The opportunity to add two reps with the extensive material handling experience of Fred and Ray will be a huge asset to our dealers and customers," said Cobb. "They are renowned in their territories for their hands-on approach to servicing the customer and providing the best lifting solution for the needs of individual customers."

Sandy Silverberg will stay on as the Western Regional Manager focusing his efforts solely in the territory encompassing all states west of Colorado. Mark Beggs will move from the northeast territory to become the Midwest Regional Manager covering states from the Dakotas to Kansas, and east to Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky.
Pflow Industries, Inc. (Milwaukee, WI) - Pflow pioneered the vertical reciprocating conveyor (VRC) product class in 1977, and has designed and built over 14,000 systems to lift materials from 100 lbs. to 100 tons for a diverse group of applications. Pflow Industries, Inc. has added the Modular Series D hydraulic lift to its industry leading lineup of vertical material lifts and vertical reciprocating conveyors. The Modular Series D is a modular version of its popular Series D hydraulic lift, and is delivered in two or three, stackable, bolt-together sections for one-day installation. The new modular lift provides low-maintenance, efficient material lifting of loads up to 3,000 lbs between two levels, and is especially suited for mezzanine or balcony applications in both new construction and existing structures.
The Modular Series D lift is driven by dual 2" ram direct-acting hydraulic cylinders, and has no cables, chains, bearings or other components that can break or require lubrication. Available with either a 5 ft x 5 ft or 6 ft x 6 ft carriage, and with a 3,000 lbs capacity model, the new lift easily moves loads to heights of 15 ft at a speed of 17 feet per minute. The unit is fully self-supporting and, depending on the application, can be loaded and unloaded from any of three operating sides on both levels.
Additionally, the Modular Series D features:
And unlike comparable competitor models, the Pflow Modular Series D uses no chains or cables, requires no safety cams, requires no expensive drop tests and requires far less maintenance and parts replacement. The new modular lift also fully meets ASME B20.1 code.
Pflow Industries, Inc. has added the Series B (Box) lift to its industry leading lineup of vertical material lifts and vertical reciprocating conveyors. The Series B lift becomes the seventh product series in the Pflow portfolio, which includes a lift series variation that can be custom engineered to serve virtually any material lifting application.
The Series B lift is designed to efficiently move boxes, cartons, barrels, loose parts and other portable loads to and from mezzanines and basements or between floors. Featuring a 3 ft x 3 ft x 4 ft high load carriage and a mechanical drive mechanism, the Series B easily moves loads up to 500 lbs to heights up to 20 ft at a speed of 40 fpm. The soft start/stop performance motor can easily be adjusted to speeds appropriate for fragile or sensitive loads.
With many built-in safety features to protect both workers and materials the Series B lift is the safest of its kind. Access gates at each level are interlocked with the lift operation and integral safety enclosures provide full height guarding on all sides. The carriage is moved by two separate roller chains; industry-exclusive spring loaded safety pins prevent an uncontrolled decent in the improbable case of a chain break. Unlike most competitor lifts the Series B is ASME 20.1 compliant.
The unit is completely modular with simple bolt-together construction allowing for loading and unloading from any of three sides at either level. The gate arrangement can be easily changed for left- or right-hand opening. The versatile, self-contained unit is compact and easy to install, with a durable, high-quality construction that ensures safe, reliable, long term performance. The load carriage is a full foot taller than many competitive models allowing for the service of a wider variety of loads.
The Series B lift ships pre-assembled and pre-wired with “quick-connect” wiring for easy installation. In most cases installation should take less than six hours.
Lift heights and levels are able to meet application requirements; with custom versions available to move loads between more than two floors and/or to heights greater than 20 ft.
